How I Quickly Clean My Makeup Brushes

How I Quickly Clean My Makeup Brushes..

Hey guys! This is my very quick, simple and easy guide on how I quickly clean my makeup brushes. This is not how I deeply clean my makeup brushes; but, it is just the quick version of how I would clean my makeup brushes. This is just a method I would use if my makeup brushes needed to be cleaned and I wanted to use them very soon after. In the picture above you can see what you would need. All you need is three things! Cotton pads, your makeup brushes and a brush cleanser from any brand. Mine is from Mac and it is £11.00. It is quite pricey but there are cheaper ones out there that you can get. For example H&M do one for just £2.99 but you get 150ml, whereas the Mac one includes 235ml.

Step 1..

Squeeze a bit of the cleanser on one of your pads. Make sure that you do not put on too much as a little does go a long way. What I tend to do is just squeeze a bit in the middle.

Step 2..

Swirl your brush around the pad several times. Also what I do is press the brush down really hard so it even gets the bits inside the brush and not just the tip of it and then you're done!

In this image you can see the brush before and after and wow look at the difference that those two steps have made. Quite a lot! Don't you think? It only takes about 1-2 minutes to do and your brushes are as clean as if you have just washed them. The best thing about this is that the brushes only take 5 minutes to dry which means you can practically wash your makeup brushes then do your makeup very soon after.

The only down side to this method is that it doesn't properly clean your brushes and gets rid of every bit of makeup. You will notice that it doesn't get a lot of the inside of the brush cleaned; but, thats not a problem as this is only a quick-fix if you're in a rush but need to wash your brushes.

How do you guys clean your makeup brushes?
